Migraines and Other Headaches

Treatment and ReliefSupport And Self-help Groups

Support groups in which you meet other headache sufferers will give you comfort as well as new ideas for headache relief. Your doctor may be able to suggest a local support group. You may also want to join the National Headache Foundation or the American Council for Headache Education. These organizations will give you a list of contacts in your state or will help you start your own support group. If you can't get together with other people, you can get on the Internet and find support on-line. Remember to check out any advice with a medical professional. For helpful organizations and on-line sites in the United States and Canada, see the Where to Go for Help section at the end of this book.
